Northern New Hampshire & Connecticut Lakes
In mid-September, I went on a two-day tour of the far northern parts of New Hampshire. This little bit of the state pokes up into Quebec province, and is where the Connecticut Lakes are found – the waters that are the source of the Connecticut River. By poising the cursor over the photo for a moment, a small text box (ALT text) with the photo description should appear.

This is a wooden snow roller, formerly used for packing down the snow on the streets. It was drawn by a team of oxen or horses, and the driver perched on the wooden seat at the top of the roller.
