The Press Room Here's my “local.” It's a fine place in many ways, with live music every night of the week, specializing in jazz, blues and folk. Our weekly traditional session is held on Friday night, from 4-9. The music is English, Irish, Scottish, American, vocal, instrumental, and occasionally, there's a recitation. Not only is it free to attend, but it's a bit of a free-for-all! There's no set order for the night, and folks play and sing when the mood strikes. Or not!
Suits me.
One of our gang is a fiddling entymologist who has written a folk rap song about ticks! We are a diverse bunch!! This photo accompanied an article about the session, published in a local paper in February, 2006. Read it here. our gang at the Press Room
Sing it loud and sing it proud! I've never wanted for enthusiasm... it's fun for all and all for fun! All the kids love you, Babz! Point of Graves, 2004 Point of Graves, 2005 PMFF, Athenaeum, 2005 Teaching 5- to 9-year-olds, 2005
Who wants to look at someone singing, when you can listen??
